The group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2022 comes close Friday after week and half of the incredible action. Kicking the things off in Group H South Korea VS Portugal and it's the first loss of the tournament.

South Korea reached the round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup 2022 on goals scored after Hee-Chan Hwang struck 91st-minute winner to win against the Portugal in scored of 2-1.

Only twice before in their history that the South Korea advances to the knockout stages of the World Cup. South Korea nearly knotted things up early in the first half as Jung Woo-Young tried a through ball, but defender Kim Jin-Su was caught offside. South Korea evened things up near the 30' mark, courtesy of Kim Young-Gwon's fancy footwork. Hwang Hee-Chan came up with a massive goal in stoppage time, putting South Korea up 2-1.

Portugal top the group on six points while South Korea join them having finished second in Group H. Uruguay are eliminated despite their victory over Ghana.

Portugal will now face runners-up of Group G, Switzerland, on Tuesday December 6 - Kick-off 7pm.

South Korea take on Group G winners Brazil on Monday December 5 - Kick-off 7pm.
